b) 10 to 25
c) 25 to 50
d) more than 50
A. If your answer was...c) You are an extremely popular person. Will you please add me to your friends list?
d) You are either in sales or marketing and are using Facebook for shameless self promotion of sites such as SecondConnection.com
Now onto the subject of today's blog; Facebook for dating. Well fellas, I hate to tell you but I'd have to say this is a big dating no no. I realize it may seem like the easy way to "re-connect" with somebody you meet at a social gathering, but here are a few reasons why it's not the best way to go about it.
- You have to make sure you get the girl's first and last name during the conversation without seeming like a stalker.
- The girl might have a private profile and you'll have missed your chance to reconnect.
- Even if you get past #1 and #2, do you really want your potential date to see those drunken "tags" of you that your bonehead friends decided to post?
- C'mon, we've all had (or know somebody who has had) the awkward experience of having to delete a person off their friend list because things "didn't work out". Well either that, or you really don't give a rat's @$$ about the other person's feelings or impressions of you, in which case...carry on what you're doing because for some strange reason, there seems to be a lot of women who are attracted to that. Not the female readers of this blog of course!
My solution to you? Well, obviously the best choice is to be direct and ask for a woman's phone number. But did you know that in a survey of 18 to 44 yr old women, 20% of the women (1 in 5) would not give out their phone number or email address even if they are attracted to the man? With these odds, why take a chance? Sign up for a free account at SecondConnection and receive 10 Free SecondConnection Black Cards so next time you're prepared.
